About Us
Althorp Montessori School was founded by Sally Lovelock in September of 2007. It all began as a home-based environment with 8 children. The school quickly began to grow and after 2 years, Sally moved the school to our current location; in the lower level of Jubilee Fellowship Church. Our second location opened in November 2023 at 208 Taylor Street in Thorold.
Many people have asked over the years where the name "Althorp" originates. Our school is named after Althorp Estates in England, where Princess Diana once lived. Over the years, Althorp has expanded to 28 employees which include Montessori trained teachers, RECE's and a facility operator.
